Paper I (Secondary Teacher, Class 9-10)
Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, AND a B.Ed. (Teaching Degree). Note: Subject-specific requirements apply (e.g., specific combination of subjects for Science/Math/Social Science).
Paper II (Senior Secondary Teacher, Class 11-12)
Postgraduate Degree (Master's) in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, AND a B.Ed. degree. Note: B.Ed. is not mandatory for Computer Science teachers, who require specific technical Master's degrees (e.g., MCA, M.Sc. in Computer Science).

Mode of Selection
CBT Exam (Online)
The exam consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 150 marks. There is NO negative marking.
Exam Pattern Breakdown
100 questions are from the Specific Subject, and 50 questions cover the Art of Teaching and Other Skills (General Knowledge, Math Aptitude, etc.).
Qualifying Marks
General candidates must score 50% marks to qualify. Reserved categories have lower qualifying thresholds.
